response to growing challenges of an increasingly international public relations industry.
The aim of the IPRA is to promote the exchange of information and cooperation within the profession; and to provide members with scope for professional development as well as personal networking opportunities.
Today, IPRA is the most genuinely international association of PR practitioners in the world, with about 1,000 members from 95 countries. Members get to meet at seminars and conferences, including the Public Relations World Conference, and can also keep in touch via the global magazine, IPRA Front Line, as well as the website http://www.ipra.org.
Perhaps the highlight of IPRA’s calendar every year is the IPRA Golden World Awards for Excellence, which gives recognition to the best PR programmes executed in a given year all round the world.
In keeping with the original aim to exchange information and promote the highest standards of PR practice, IPRA also publishes Gold Papers on subjects at the leading edge of PR development, and these are available from its secretariat at nominal cost. Recent topics have included Challenges in Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility. |

The IPRA today represents the most genuinely international grouping of public relations practitioners worldwide. It is a dynamic organisation that not only facilitates the sharing of skills and knowledge among members from every sector of the profession, but also enhances the personal development of individuals via a programme that stresses continuous education and improvement.
Needless to say, members also get to enjoy excellent networking opportunities with fellow PR practitioners from around the world. Conferences are organised in exotic locations that provide a stimulating backdrop to professional discourse. |
