Perception is “a way of seeing, understanding or interpreting”. If left to chance, a company’s stakeholder groups will develop their own selective ways of seeing, understanding or interpreting the words, actions and behaviour of that company – resulting in perceptions which may not be positive or healthy.
 

Hence, perceptions have to be continually managed. Relationships have to be built and built to last. Communication strategies need to be put in place. Information must flow.
